Address any comments, concerns or complaints about my portrayal of Xiùlián here! This doubles as a contact/plotting post, so if you want to run a plot idea by me, you're welcome to do so here.

Note: Yú Xiùlián is Qing Dynasty Chinese; I'm a modern Western person. She is Confucian; I'm not. She exists in a wuxia universe; you get the drill. I'll do my best to portray her cultural context, but I'm always open to suggestions and corrections. I know that I know little—please tell me if I get it wrong.

PERMISSIONS

❖ Fourthwalling this character? — I'd rather not. Her canon is semi-historical, if fictitious, and I'd rather avoid that added hurdle with her.

❖ Threadjacking this character's posts? — Public threads, of course. Private threads, probably not. Unless a log is open, please ask first about logs.

❖ Backtagging with this character? — I run on backtagging. Yes and yes again.

❖ Hugging/kissing this character? — Wow. You can try. She will either politely disengage or retaliate. She's very proper and uneasy about hugging anyone but children or close (female) friends. As for kissing—same, only even more so.

❖ Romance/smut with this character? — She arrives in circumstances that will mean any romance will quite take its time if it is to happen at all. This is to say: I would welcome the opportunity, but there is some IC baggage here, yo.

❖ Fighting (against/alongside) this character? — I live for action-y logs, so yes. If we're writing a fight, just don't declare her injuries for me.

❖ Injury/death to this character? — I'm entirely open to both if a plot calls for either. No violence-related triggers here so it should be fine.
